The focus of the design, right from inception, was to work with Queensland’s climate. Ventilation is the cornerstone of the home. Through prudent placement of louver windows throughout the home, in conjunction with the huge corner meeting stacker doors, even the most gentle of breezes is more than sufficient to ensure this home does not require air conditioning on long hot summer days.

 

We wanted to meet demand for smaller homes, so had a target of under 250sqm. We have achieved this, and yet with the second, third & fourth bedrooms incorporated into a breezeway wing, the home feels far larger than its 248 square meters. This wing, combined with a unique study/office nook, gives great separation for the kids from the rest of the home.

 

The master bedrooms coffered ceiling has recessed LED mood lighting and this combined with concealed curtain pelmets, offers the luxury feeling reminiscent of a 5 star resort.

 

The formal lounge, through usage of large oversize cavity sliding doors, can be totally closed off to double as a media room, or opened up to be a light and airy place to just sit back & chill with guests.

 

The kitchen, with its distinctive cabinetry & gloss laminates, integrates perfectly with the indoor/outdoor living areas.

 

Visually the home employs many design elements that set it apart. The 2.7 raised ceilings in the main living areas and formal lounge, stunning black gloss brick wall, rich glossy charcoal internal doors, along with a beautifully subdued colour palette take this home well beyond standard fare.
